Nancy Sinatra – 80

Famously known for her signature hit These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ in 1965, Nancy Sinatra is the elder daughter of the iconic singer Frank Sinatra. Her other notable recordings included Somethin’ Stupid—a duet with her father—Sugar Town, You Only Live Twice, Summer Wine, Jackson, and Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). She began her singing and acting career back in 1957 with an appearance in her father’s variety series on ABC-TV. In the 1960s, Sinatra had a brief acting career, co-starring with Elvis Presley in the credit film Speedway.

In 2002, Sinatra appeared at the Edinburgh International Festival, a live, sold-out, one-off concert filmed by the BBC network and later aired on BBC Four. Later on, the 80-year-old singer-actress collaborated with her former neighbor in Los Angeles, Morrissey, on a version of his song in 2004, Let Me Kiss You, which was featured on her Nancy Sinatra album. EMI Record then released a UK-only greatest-hits compilation in 2006, The Essential Nancy Sinatra, which featured a previously unreleased song, Machine Gun Kelly.
