Barbara Walters – 91

Famed TV personality, broadcast journalist, and author Barbara Walters began her career in the 1960s. She first worked as a segment producer and writer focusing on women’s stories. In time, Walters gained popularity among viewers, which also led to more airtime for her in the program. By 1974, she had a steady following and was promoted to co-host. At the time, she was the first woman to have achieved such a position on an American news program. This wouldn’t be the last time she helped pave the way for other women in the same industry. Walters would later become the first female co-anchor for ABC’s Evening News.

Aside from the above, she also gets credit for creating, co-hosting, and producing The View. She would stay on the show from 1997 up until she retired from her post in 2014. Following this, she continued to do interviews for\\\\\ 20/20 before retiring from broadcasting in 2015.
