Phil Donahue is a well-known American media personality as he’s the creator and host of the iconic television series The Phil Donahue Show. Fun fact, The Phil Donahue Show was the first talk show that included audience participation. You could say that Phil was one of the pioneers of the talk show industry as it is today. People certainly had a lot of time to take notes as the show ran for 29 years, from 1967 until 1996.

Phil’s shows have often shed light and focused on several issues that divide conservatives and liberals into the United States. In turn, he definitely deserves credit for using his platform in tackling important topics. His shows used to talk about consumer protection, civil rights, and other issues that people should be concerned about. He’s widely regarded as one of the most influential talk show hosts ever and has been named the “king of daytime talk.”
