Robbie Robertson – 77

He is a Canadian who gained fame and fortune when he became the main lyricist and guitarist of the group The Band. Yup, that’s the name. Jaime Royal “Robbie” Robertson was born on the fifth of July 1943 in Ontario, Canada, and he will be 78 in 2021. With his guitar, he was critically acclaimed and even part of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarist of All-time, ranking at number 59.

He has writing credits in most of The Band’s best-known songs, some of which are Broken Arrow, The Weight, and Up On Cripple Creek. Apart from the band, he also worked as a soundtrack producer with the movies of the award-winning director Martin Scorsese. To enumerate some are The King of Comedy, Gangs of New York, and Casino. In 2008, Robbie and The Band was the recipient of the Grammys Lifetime Achievement Awards for their undeniable contribution to the music industry.
