Sidney Poitier – 94

He’s the epitome of a strong, breaking the cycle and skillful type of guy. Let’s start by saying that Sidney L. Poitier KBE is the first actor of color who won an Academy Award for Best Actor, which was his performance in the film Lilies of the Field. Among his other notable works are The Defiant Ones, where he received a BAFTA award, and the critically acclaimed TV-made film Mandela and de Klerk. Surprisingly, he has a Grammy to his credit for Best Spoken Word Album for his autobiographical work, The Measure of a Man. Aside from the lifetime achievement recognitions he received from several award-giving bodies, he also earned a Presidential Medal of Freedom and Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

At the age of 94, he is the oldest living actor who won this award and the last living star from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema.
