Legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg has a penchant for putting out hit after hit movies as he is responsible for directing household films, such as Jaws, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park, all of which turned into individual franchises. His later works, such as The Terminal, Catch Me If You Can, and War Horse, to name a few, were all met with a high degree of critical and box office success, earning the director further fame and renown.
The director, now 74 years of age, is considered the most commercially successful director in history. Before basking in the limelight of his success, the director was an amateur filmmaker and made history in the late 1960s when he became the youngest television director in Universal. His first breakthrough was when he directed the critically successful television film Duel in 1972, which paved the way for his eventual star-studded career.
