Debbie Harry – 75

When you hear Blondie, you initially associate it with a valley girl aesthetic, but Blondie back in the mid-1970s was a famous rock band who were also labeled the pioneers of punk music. The band was widely recognized in the United Kingdom and gradually gained mainstream success in the United States with singles including Rapture and Heart of Glass.

The band was co-founded by the American singer Debbie Harry, who was the lead vocalist of the group. Later on, she focused on her solo career in the 1980s, releasing her album KooKoo, which topped the charts and was certified silver in the UK. After two years, the band reconnected and released a new album, Hunter, which turned out to be a good investment and put them back on the map. Globally, she was also known as a style icon, recognized for her daring street style and bleached blonde hair. Now, she is still every piece of rock-and-roll with continued success, having published her own memoir, Face It, and appearing in sitcoms like High Fidelity.
