Catherine Deneuve – 77
Actress Catherine Deneuve made her debut back in the 1950s through a small role in the film Les Collégiennes. It wasn’t until she starred in Jacques Demy’s Les Parapluies de Cherbourg that Deneuve found stardom. She became known for portraying aloof and cold characters, which eventually earned her the nickname “ice maiden”. She has quite the film resume, having worked with some of the greatest directors in the industry. This includes French new wave pioneers such as François Truffaut, Lars von Trier, Agnès Varda, and Philippe Garrel.
Did you know that Deneuve can speak multiple languages? Her fluency in French, English, and Italian allowed her to work even in international productions. Presently, she is still working as an actress but is also active when it comes to charity work. We’re certain that given her investment planning throughout the years, she is able to help others with what she has earned.
