Al Jardine – 78

Al Jardine is a singer-songwriter who is best known for being the co-founder of the Beach Boys. Together with the band, they popularized the songs Cotton Fields, The I Kissed Her, and Come Go With Me. His history with the Beach Boys is quite a colorful one. In the 1960s, he left to get a degree in dentistry, but continued to fill in whenever the band needed a bass player for their performances. This eventually led to him taking a full-time position, after David Mark’s departure from the group.

Following the passing of Carl Wilson, who is also one of the band’s founding members, Jardine left the Beach Boys’ tour and began his solo career. Since then, he has released one studio album called A Postcard for California, which was well-received. Jardine and his son also contributed to John Mayer’s song, Emoji of a Wave. At present, he still regularly goes on tour with the Brian Wilson band.
