Art Garfunkel – 79

Surely many of you are familiar with folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. After all, they have had many chart-topping hits over the years. The pair are also often credited for helping pioneer their unique sound and influencing many contemporary musicians in the process as well. Arthur Ira Garfunkel is one-half of the eponymous duo. Their work has received many accolades over the years, including a total of eight Grammys, along with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Aside from being a singer-songwriter, he began his poetic career back in 1981 while on tour. In 1989, he was able to publish his first collection of poetry titled Still Water, which received plenty of praise. Not much is known about his current life at present, though he has a website that updates all the books he has read since 1968. His total count so far? Over a thousand titles to date. There is no better investment, if you ask us.
