Michael Caine – 88

Michael Caine, full name Maurice Joseph Micklewhite, Jr., is an internationally acclaimed British actor known for his versatility in a variety of main and supporting roles. His affable Cockney attitude was generally evident in each performance since he performed in over 100 films. The Caine Mutiny, a 1954 film, inspired the former Maurice Micklewhite’s screen identity. In 1953, Caine had his theatrical debut, and in 1956, he made his film debut. In British films such as A Hill in Korea, How to Murder a Rich Uncle, The Day the Earth Caught Fire, and Zulu, he performed a wide range of characters.

The Ipcress File, which is the first of five films in which Caine played British agent Harry Palmer was a success, but his major breakthrough came in the title role of Alfie, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor. Funeral in Berlin, The Wrong Box, and The Italian Job were among his other popular films of the 1960s.
