EVA MARIE SAINT – 94

Eva Marie Saint is among the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. After graduating with a degree in acting at the Bowling Green State University, she began her career on TV during the 1940s. While Saint struggled early on, the actress managed to achieve success during the 1950s. She got her first two Emmy nominations in 1955 for her performances in The Philco Television Playhouse and Our Town. Her film debut was made in 1954 when she starred in On the Waterfront, where she won her first Oscar. However, her most notable performance was in Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest, which is regarded as one of the best classic films of all time.

Later in her career, she finally won an Emmy in 1990 for her performance in People Like Us. She then appeared in a slew of films during the 1990s and early 2000s, such as Superman Returns, Don’t Come Knocking, and I Dreamed of Africa. She even ventured into voice acting, lending her voice as the elderly Katara in The Legend of Korra. For her contributions to drama, she was awarded two stars at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
