GLYNIS JOHNS – 95

Glynis Johns is credited as an icon during the Golden Age of Hollywood. A singer and actress, she is best known for her roles as Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins and Desiree Armfeldt in A Little Night Music. On the other hand, Johns was just shy of her teenage years in 1935, when she began her career and made her debut three years later in South Riding. Johns remained focused on her film-acting career, with some theater roles taken along the way. In later years, however, Johns has devoted almost her entire career to the theater. She went on hiatus during the 1990s, with her final two known appearances in While You Were Sleeping and Superstar.

She has received numerous nominations throughout her career, including an Oscar nomination for her performance in The Sundowners. Her nomination made her the oldest living nominee after Olivia de Havilland passed away in 2020. In addition, she was named a Disney Legend in 1998 for her performances in some Disney movies, most notably Mary Poppins.
