Mason is best known for his 1986 one-person stand-up show titled The World According to Me, which earned him an Emmy Award, an Ace Award, a Special Tony Award, and a Grammy nomination. He quickly followed his award-winning performance with another 1988 classic titled Jackie Mason on Broadway, which also received critical acclaim.

Mason is best known for his unique and exceptional delivery and voice. He also habitually makes use of several innuendos and puns. Today, Mason is now 87 years old and has largely retreated into living a private life. He must have raked in a hefty amount of cash for him to walk away from the entertainment industry without even looking back.
