LIONEL RICHIE | $11.4 MILLION, BEVERLY HILLS
A very successful balladeer, Lionel Richie spent a good chunk of his career since 1968 as a part of the funk band, the Commodores. Most of the songs they released initially had danceable rhythms, which quickly became a favorite among music lovers. In 1972, Richie decided he wanted to go solo and released his debut album, Lionel Richie. It contained three hit singles, which further made Richie famous. His subsequent albums only cemented his status as a music icon.
The megastar has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and that has translated to massive net worth. In turn, he was able to make real estate investments, including a house in Beverly Hills. He purchased the home in 1999 for $6 million, and it is now worth almost double that amount. Richie and his wife only made slight changes to the grand home before they felt comfortable with it and called it their love nest.
