JEFFREY GARTEN – INA GARTEN

Ina Garten is likely best recognized for her happy marriage to her husband Jeffrey Garten, aside from her culinary empire. After all, they’ve been married for more than 50 years, and Ina’s cookbooks have always included recipes inspired by her husband. Cooking for Jeffrey was written solely for and about him, and it was the best-selling cookbook of 2016. As a result, they could be considered the pinnacle of relationship goals.

Ina and Jeffrey met for the first time in 1963. She was then 15 years and was visiting her brother at Dartmouth, where Jeffrey was a student. She married Jeffrey not long after that and lived happily ever after. Well, sort of. They were both in high-flying degrees and had to juggle the work-life-everything balance that comes with growing up. Ina ultimately came upon an advertisement for a Barefoot Contessa food store in East Hampton, New York. She and Jeffrey went to see it, and the couple bought it on the spur of the moment in 1978. They lived happily ever since then, each taking their professional path while being the best pair on earth.
