JERRY SEINFELD – JESSICA SEINFELD

Long before matchmaking apps, Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Seinfeld met the old-fashioned way. After being rejected at first, the stand-up comic attempted a different approach: he told her a joke. It would be a beautiful how-we-met narrative, except for one critical fact. Jessica was recently married to her first husband, Eric Nederlander, at the time of their meeting.

It’s unclear whether Jessica was a Seinfeld fan and knew who she met at the gym on Aug. 7, 1998. Jerry was one of the most renowned television stars in the world at the time, and it was just a few months after the Seinfeld finale. However, New York City is full of renowned people, and the Reebok gym saw quite a few of them. Jerry and Jessica fell in love instantly, although the time wasn’t ideal. The lovebirds got engaged and married in a private ceremony in December 1999. Despite their rough start, Jessica and Jerry enjoy one of Hollywood’s longest-running marriages and appear to be in love. Over the years, they have built impressive investments together with their three children.
